"Entracte à l'Atelier" fait partie de mon travail actuel sur les scènes urbaines. Le théâtre de l'Atelier, inauguré en novembre 1862 place Charles Dulin à Paris 18, est un lieu magique. Le personnage qui s'offre une pause au premier plan est-il réel où appartient-il au monde imaginaire de la pièce qui se jouera dans quelques instants derrière ces grandes vitres?

"Entracte à l'Atelier" ("Intermission in the Atelier theatre") represents the theme "urban scenes" I am now working on. The Atelier theatre, opened on november 1862 in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, is a magic place. Is the man taking a pause in the front section of the painting real? or does he belong to the imaginary world of the play which will be taking place in a few moments behind those tall windows?
